This report collects data on 194 species that are distributed throughout the national geography. A review is made of 35 scarce species or that occur in very few localities and very few specimens during the year 2017. Their distribution in space and time are showing, most of them included in the list of Rare Birds until recently (see Rouco et al., 2018; Gil-Velasco et al., 2018, Gutiérrez, 2018, Reservoir Birds, 2018). Some maps and graphs that show the number of citations that provide information about their presence pattern are presented, not including the Canary Islands. The taxonomic sequence follows the Birds of Spain (Gutiérrez et al., 2012).
